As far as can be found from different sources, the history of Bleeke Hoeve goes back to the mid-19th century. In 1867 Jacob van Essen and his wife Geurtje van Looijengoed started running a farm-inn called Bleeke Hoeve.

In 1918 Willem van Essen, a distant relative, bought the property from Jacob's heirs and took over the business. In the early twenties a fire destroyed the building, but some years later the guesthouse was rebuilt into the present country house Bleeke Hoeve. Until around 1980 it kept functioning as a hotel, bar and restaurant.
The building has been extensively renovated in 2005 and converted into a bed and breakfast guesthouse. The Bleeke Hoeve history of hospitality has now been revived. The exterior of the house has remained as it was, in order not to disturb its unique character. Inside, while maintaining its atmosphere, the house has been entirely refurbished up to current standards. All bedrooms have ensuite showers and toilets, and care has been taken to ensure the highest level of fire-prevention.
In the year 2007 a gravel road with parking places was made next to the house, and improvements were made to the back yard. An additional terrace has been constructed in the garden, where guests can enjoy the evening sun beams.
